» OVERALL:
Lucifer has always been a prideful Archangel. A lot his pride stems from the fact that God loved him most of all. But then God had gone and made humanity, His new favorite creation. Lucifer's pride wouldn't allow him to bend down and love humans more than he loved God, which had been his Father's command to all angels. He chose to wage war, instead, and become a rebel. Every since then, Lucifer isn't fond of playing by the rules. He's a rebel at heart and loves to do whatever he wants to do, the rules and everyone else be damned.
Being stuck in his cage in Hell gave him plenty of time to plot his revenge. He wanted to wipe out God's favorite creation and restore Earth to its original glory. The need for revenge always burns at him, and he created the demons to serve him and used them to help break 66 seals on his cage so he could escape. But, even though the demons are his own creation, he holds them even less worthy than human beings. As far as he's concerned, it's only himself and his three brothers that he cares about. He was clearly pained when he had to kill Gabriel and, when Michael met him in the cemetery for their final battle, he tried to talk Michael out of the fight because Lucifer blamed it all on God.
Despite the common belief that Lucifer is the Father of Lies, he insists that he doesn't lie. The truth is often harder to hear than lies, and he uses the truth to his advantage. He is very good at charming people with his words. He believes that he's not as evil as people like to believe he is. Sure, he has no qualms about killing anyone who gets in his way but even he has the capacity to be somewhat sympathetic, especially towards his fellow angels. It still pains him greatly that Michael didn't join his cause when God asked them to bow down to humans. Jealousy and envy often cloud Lucifer's judgment, as is evidenced by the fact that he couldn't stand it when his Father turned his love away from him and towards humanity.
» HOMETOWN: Heaven (now Hell)
» FAMILY: God, Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, the angels, the demons
» OVERALL HISTORY:
Lucifer was one of the four Archangels created by God. He is the older brother of Raphael and Gabriel and the younger brother of Michael. According to some, he was God's favorite son, until God asked the angels to bow down to humanity. Lucifer refused to do so and wage a war against God. Lucifer was banished to Hell by Michael but, before being locked there for good, he tried to corrupt the soul of Lilith into the very first demon. Because of that act, he was further punished by being locked into an impregnable cage in Hell.
Despite being sealed away, though, he was still the ruler of Hell and was able to create the demons to serve him. His cage contained 600 powerful seals and, in order for him to be released, 66 of those seals would have to be broken. The demon Azazel began to do just that and the death of Lilith, by the hands of Sam Winchester, broke the final seal. Lucifer found himself free again.
The first order of business was to find a vessel. He soon found Nick--a man whose wife and baby had been killed by an intruder one night. Lucifer mentally tortured him with visions and eventually appeared in Nick's dreams as his dead wife. He asked for Nick's permission to take over his body, and Nick refused. He then further manipulate the man, telling him that his wife and baby's brutal murder meant that God was either sadistic or just didn't care, that it was God's fault they had died. Nick caved in and gave Lucifer his permission to enter into his body.
Lucifer began to manipulate the weather all over Earth, creating high winds, hurricanes, earthquakes and everything in between. He appeared to Sam Winchester, letting the man know that he was Lucifer's true vessel and that he would receive his permission to take over his body in Detroit. Lucifer couldn't stay in Nick's body forever. It couldn't contain him and all of his power for much longer.
While in Carthage, Missouri, Lucifer summoned up Death. He then found himself having to go to a hotel to stop the Pagan gods there who were planning on trying to stop him and his apocalypse. He had to kill his younger brother, Gabriel, too because that Archangel had decided to side with humanity. But Gabriel had left a message for the Winchester brothers on how they could trap Lucifer. If they acquired the rings of the Four Horsemen, then they could use them to trap Lucifer back in his cage in Hell.
The Winchesters came up with a plan. They would have Sam say yes to Lucifer using his body as a vessel, and then Sam would jump into Lucifer's cage. The Winchesters tracked Lucifer down to Detroit. Lucifer let them know that he knew what they were planning on doing but jumped into Sam's body anyways. Sam's mind lost the battle, however. The next day, he traveled to Stull Cemetery where he was going to meet Michael for their final battle. When Dean arrived at the cemetery, he was able to get through to Sam. With Sam back in control of his body, he was able to throw himself and Lucifer into Lucifer's cage.
Sam was eventually taken out, leaving Lucifer and Michael trapped in the cage together. However, with his demons working ceaselessly on his side, it wasn't long before they managed to find a way to get him out again. He found Nick's body waiting for him again and is determined to make sure his apocalypse doesn't fail this time around.
» RP SAMPLE:
She took the honor of going first, although it appeared that she had doubts about it being considered an honor. She was right in believing the Doctor wouldn't send her out there first if there was any chance of there being immediate danger in their front. He followed closely behind her, shutting the doors and checking to make sure that they were locked because he didn't want whoever was on this spaceship with them getting inside.
The Doctor looked into the box that Emma had opened up. There was nothing particularly earth-shattering that he saw inside there. Any species in the universe could have picked up those wires and other parts and stored them away. He wanted something more useful than that, something that would tell him who he was dealing with before he first ran into the owners of the spaceship.
"Oh, I'm sure the owners are already on their way here," he said. The destruction of their control panel on Earth had to have them on the alert for any approaching spaceship looking to board their own. And, if they were a species that he had had dealings with before, they weren't going to mistake the TARDIS for anything other than what she was. The Doctor still hadn't decided if he wanted to meet a new species or deal with one he already knew how to handle.
Her scream had the Doctor quickly spinning around to face her, but she recovered quickly enough. "Another android," he confirmed, "At least now we know we're in the right place." He was always going to have his doubts when it came to piloting the TARDIS, even when he knew that she would gladly take him to a location where he knew he already knew he was going to be needed.
The Doctor walked over to another one of the boxes and popped open the lid. He pulled out a helmet of unmistakable design. He turned it around slowly before putting it back down and looking at Emma. "I know who the neighbors are," he said, as calmly as possible, although he didn't fancy dealing with the militaristic Sontarans again. At least they weren't ones to shoot first and ask questions later, unless they were in the middle of an ongoing battle.
Before the Doctor could even begin to explain to Emma who the Sontarans were, the door shot open and in stepped three of them, two helmeted while the middle one was helmet-less. He was the one that glanced at the Doctor, then to the TARDIS, and then back to the Doctor again. "So, it is you, Doctor. We suspected as much. Commander Styron wishes to see you."
"Good," the Doctor replied, "because that's exactly who I was hoping to see." The Commander would be in the main control room, which was where he would find the panel controlling the teleport on Earth. Once the Doctor destroyed that, they would be cut off from sending their androids to the planet. Of course, that wouldn't solve the problem of the Sontarans orbiting Earth but it would put him in a better bargaining position in the attempt to get them to leave for good.
"Follow me," the Sontaran said. "Come along, Emma," the Doctor said, following behind the Sontaran. The two helmeted Sontarans fell in behind the other one, the Doctor, and Emma, ready to cut off any attempted escape or anything else the Doctor might attempt to do. With the laser guns all of the Sontarans were holding, all thoughts of misbehaving (at least right now) where the farthest things from the Doctor's mind.
