CASTIEL
Ageless |Dean-sexual| Archangel| Determined| Logical | Faithful
Castiel is an angel first and foremost, and so has been ingrained with God and God alone for his entire existence. Because of him being on Earth only every so often, Castiel can come off as cold and somewhat cruel at times. In his mind, he is a warrior of god, and while he is supposed to protect humans, he has also been ingrained with the idea that there are sacrifices to be made if something important is on the line. As such, he is prone to being logical about situations, despite how cold it may come across, Dean has been attempting to get Cas to see things differently, and there have been times the Winchester’s influence has be noticeable.
The Angel is learning more about human emotions and reactions, and as such, his curiosity is going to get the better of him most times. He will ask about what people are feeling to better understand what might be a 'normal' reaction to an 'abnormal' reaction to any sort of simple or drastic situation. He is also going to be experiencing a bit more emotion once he starts experiencing free will.
Castiel will very rarely lash out unless someone continues to press anything against him, otherwise will usually dismiss things if it means getting his point across in the long run. Close friends are perhaps one of the few people he will develop patience with and so gradually will give them a bit more leeway. Although there have been the odd occasions where Sam has mentioned to Dean that his older brother may have hurt the Angels feelings with thoughtless comments in tight situations, Castiel himself has never complained.
With an air of guilt for being over presumptuous and thinking he could save Sam on his own, Castiel feels he has over reached, yet refuses to deal with it, covering the shame with stubborn determination to focus on the civil war. While trying to deal with the war, Castiel begins to grow distant from those he is close to that are unable to defend themselves against the other angels. He doesn’t want anyone else getting hurt if he can protect them from getting involved, this leads to a few conflicts with those on the planet, when they suspect he is shutting them out, especially Lark who, in Castiel’s opinion, has more than enough to stress about.
Right now his focus needs to be on the war, on gathering others who can fight with him, and Castiel turns his attention to these people, though even they will notice his unwavering focus, keeping others at a distance and appearing to take on a lot of the responsibilities he could otherwise share around. This leads to Castiel appearing gradually more tired in appearance and less patient with people who get snippy at him for ignoring their summons.
